Abstract
This document presents a summary of the main reflections of the members of the working group: Teaching excellence-teacher training. First, the concept of teacher development is analyzed. Secondly, a contextual location of the antecedents of teacher education in the global context is provided. Then, the institutional background on the subject is presented and an analysis is made of the perceptions of teachers regarding the teacher development courses offered in 2016. Finally, reference is made to the opportunities, challenges and challenges related to teacher training at the University.
