Abstract

This article presents a study of journalistic genres in ten political news blogs
(j-blog) integrated at reference newspapers web in Brazil and Spain. From a systematic
open observation and from the web content analysis of 977 posts, the
study results point to the use of the opinion gender in greater proportion of entries
than informational and interpretive genres. In addition, journalists-bloggers
still prefer traditional genres of newspapers to those created with the
evolution of online journalism. Moreover, these professionals contribute to the
creation of new cyberjournalistic genres, such as mobile short briefing note.
