Research output: Contribution to JournalResearch Articlepeer-review

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are health conditions that can compromise body movement and are related to the execution of work-related gestures. The aim of this study, focused on documenting motor control in the prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) to improve functional capacity and motor performance of workers. This exploration was developed between the year 1994 to 2017, it integrated the review of 34 documents with the keywords motor control, musculoskeletal disorders, motor gesture and prevention. From this review, the possible correspondence between motor control and MSD is presented and how its approach induces improvements in the neuronal interconnection that may facilitate the development of tasks within functional movement patterns with greater efficiency and safety.
