Abstract

Introduction: The initiatives in Latin America’s reforms frame a concern to ensure universal coverage and provide quality services, thus the quality management has become one of the most important issues in the XXI century, especially with health issues. Objectives: To characterize the processes of Enabling / health authorization and accreditation of kinesiological services of Colombia and Chile from the perspective of health quality. Methodology: For this we conducted a descriptive comparative analysis between countries (Colombia and Chile) in terms of quality processes in Kinesiology showing similarities and differences related to quality assurance. Discussion: Both countries have similar standards in terms of Enabling / Health Authorization and Accreditation. Currently in these countries are discussed issues such as patient safety, rights and duties of patients , infrastructure, access , care assessment , human talent, and others , all for the sake of ensuring the quality of service that is currently in development and has been incorporated into the organizational culture of the services. Conclusions: In the literature review is evidenced poor documentation towards quality processes, specifically for Kinesiology. It is therefore important to provide to the academic community the analysis of standards required for Enabling and Accreditation that contributes to the enrichment of the administration area and management in our profession.
