The following investigation shows the results of a study developed in Colombia about the evaluation of the quality of life and its relationship with the anxiety-depression and dispositional optimism in 32 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus diagnosis from the University Clinic Bolivariana of the city of Medellín, Colombia. The quality of life was evaluated through the Questionnaire SF36, the anxiety-depression was evaluated by Questionnaire HAD, and Questionnaire DIOP was used to measure dispositional optimism. The study demonstrated that these patients perceive a quality of life favorable in all the dimensions that conform questionnaire SF36, no clinically significant levels of anxiety-depression were encountered and finally found high predisposition towards the optimism
