Abstract
Balance Electoral de Colombia 2011 uses the same working methodology as the 2010 edition and aims to show that in the regional elections analyzed in this new version, there are comparable national dynamics through the large aggregates that represent the vote of political parties. In this sense, the main objective of Balance 2010 is to put these factors at the centre of the analysis. The data presented show once again that despite the skepticism that these departmental and municipal elections tend to have, they are elections that count in the electoral processes. The vote received by political parties at the national level is an aggregation of thousands of individual votes of governors, deputies, mayors and councillors over the entire territory and acquires its own dynamics, consisting of one election to another, unavoidable at the moment of carrying out the analysis.in this way, each chapter analyzes the electoral evolution of the respective party between 2007 and 2011.
