Project Details

Description

It aims to validate the efficiency of the interaction between peptide 88 and its possible receptor Galectin -1 as a specific biomarker of alterations in the BBB under inflammatory conditions. This interaction will be studied by means of an experimental computational model, using bioinformatics tools to model the molecular receptor epitope interaction pattern. Likewise, the specificity to BBB with respect to astrocytes will be validated, both in an in vitro and in vivo model.
