Description
This study analyzes how the UR Occupational Therapy program integrates the occupation-centered approach into its microcurricula/subject guides and adopts a qualitative exploratory-documentary approach, guided by the principles of critical educational research. The methodological choice responds to an interest in understanding, from an interpretive perspective, how the occupation-centered approach is materialized in the microcurricula/subject guides of the Occupational Therapy program at the Universidad del Rosario, specifically in the disciplinary foundation courses (first to eighth semester).
Based on this analysis, the study seeks to provide a critical perspective on disciplinary training in Occupational Therapy, identifying challenges and opportunities to strengthen the coherence between teaching and occupation-centered practice. The findings will allow for reflection on the design and implementation of disciplinary foundation courses, ensuring training that is aligned with and intentional about the principles of occupation-centered Occupational Therapy.
