Project Details
Description
Make decisions about the type of product or service to offer; the needs to be satisfied in the clients and the distribution channels to be used are part of the task of the company directors. In some cases, the selection is not the most appropriate, generating a negative impact on income and profits.
Seeking to facilitate this process, the School of Administration of the Universidad del Rosario has developed the methodology called competitive panorama, which has made it possible to identify market opportunities in different sectors, which has contributed to its durability. However, it is necessary to advance in the quantification of the strategic potential of these market opportunities and achieve a better visualization of the identified alternatives.
The purpose of this project is to develop a three-dimensional computational tool that makes it possible to identify and quantify the strategic potential of market opportunities that arise in a sector, and to become a support resource for researchers who carry out studies on the analysis of the environment; for entrepreneurs who want to start a business, and for entrepreneurs who have to make decisions about products and markets.
