Description

Research - Teaching as a missionary axis in education at higher levels, attends to the immediate need to know, but above all to understand reality. The production of this knowledge goes through a complex process, where primary perceptions of reality are generated through sensitivity (senses) that are transformed and qualified by brain processes with the production of ideas, and then be contrasted again in reality with the aim of transforming it.
This is how research proposes a theoretical-indissoluble practical relationship that produces knowledge and its accumulation. However, this accumulation cannot remain resting on the shelves of the Universities, on the contrary, it must be nourished by other social sectors, disseminated and propagated so that it can be contrasted and allow the advancement of society in all its dimensions, this end is recognized by institutionality as Extension.
Taking into account the above, the Center for Urban and Regional Studies (CEUS) with support in the triad: actors, processes and places, seeks to auscultate the dynamics and territorial management, from the analysis of cognitive, organizational, economic and ecological processes anchored to the historical contexts of the territories. Then, and in the research activity of the CEUS under the line of -Dynamics and Territorial Management-, as well as in the subline -Intelligence Territorial- that arises as a product of the approach of this project is proposed: Lengupá as object of study, in so far as it constitutes an example of the articulation for the transformation of the territory from the "four legs of the table", where each one of the legs represents the political, communitarian, economic and scientific-technical actors, metaphor that makes reference to the propositive dialogue and to the co-construction of the territorial transformation.
For these transformation processes, it is necessary to take into account that the subregion went through an arduous process of presence and actions of armed actors and now in the post-conflict framework, new challenges are presented for the development of territories to which the perspective of territorial intelligence and foresight can contribute as a fundamental tool in the processes of planning and formulation of public policy, identify schemes of territorial productive improvement, recovery and strengthening of the productive sectors, as well as a propitious scenario to contribute elements to the construction of territorial memory.
It is worth highlighting the presence of a strategic ally, the Corporation for the Promotion and Development of Lengupá TEJIENDO OSC, who are the catalyst of the interactions between the different actors, while they have carried out an exhaustive and judicious work with the objective of achieving the human and economic development of their territory, from the deep knowledge of the sub-region, the concrete proposals of transformation and the implementation of these from the co-construction, this not only in a discursive form but in concrete actions on the part and part of the actors, for example, the University makes available its professionals and knowledge and the community gives guarantee of accommodation along with scenarios for the workshops.
Taking into account the dynamics exposed above, this project seeks to articulate research, teaching and extension, positioning the Universidad del Rosario as a strategic actor for the territory allowing this, in turn, the institution to develop and fulfill its activities and missional goals with quality and identity.
