Description
SCORE brings together interdisciplinary and intersectoral research and innovation teams involved in the sustainable conservation of the built cultural heritage of 4 European countries (France, Italy, Spain, Denmark) and 2 Latin American countries (Colombia, Mexico).
The consortium includes academics, government institutions, SMEs and NGOs.
The objective is to develop international partnerships and exchange highly qualified knowledge in order to propose solutions for ecological restoration and rehabilitation works.
These materials and conservation methods must minimize their ecological footprint according to the EU circular economy action plan and be durable in a changing climate.
In order to propose solutions for a wide variety of built cultural heritage, two types of application cases have been selected, archaeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula with an equatorial climate, and vernacular built cultural heritage in different types of temperate climates. warm in Europe, using different materials and construction techniques.
The future development of building conservation must be based on previous experience accumulated over thousands of years and must take advantage of recent technological advances.
