Description

Teaching reading to deaf children is not an easy task. Expressions of sadness, anger and disgust are common in children throughout their learning. Therefore, early detection and appropriate and friendly interaction can help reduce frustration and lack of empathy that occurs in the classroom. Robotics, artificial intelligence and Health Sciences professionals can work together to solve these limitations with low-cost social robots that support the process of learning to read with an appropriate strategy for deaf children with automatic facial expressions and recognition of sign language to ensure appropriate interactions.
