Description

Inclusive pedagogical practices, sensitivity in care and classroom quality represent fundamental variables for the comprehensive development of preschool children, especially those who are in vulnerable contexts.

For this reason, the school context must function as a protective environment, where the teacher has a mediating role between the child and his or her environment and a protective role in risk situations through positive interactions.

This approach is consistent with the framework of Colombia's early childhood public policy, since its main objective is to promote the comprehensive development of children from pregnancy to six years of age, and respond to the specific needs and characteristics, thus contributing to achieving equity.

Taking into account the above, the purpose of this research focuses on analyzing the relationship that exists between the levels of teaching sensitivity, classroom quality and inclusion practices in early education classrooms in public and private institutions in the city of Ibagué.

For this, quantitative methodology will be used, with a correlational-causal scope and we will work with a representative sample of early education teachers.

The information collection instruments are the Q-Sort, the ECERS-R Scale and the Inclusion Index.

The results are expected to resolve different questions about how to ensure that inclusion is promoted in classrooms, especially to facilitate the process of school adjustment and the comprehensive development of children who come from unfavorable contexts, and therefore respond to the request. universal in relation to education for all that recognizes differences.

In this sense, it is expected to contribute to the formulation of public policies for attention in initial education, as well as impact the educational sector with a view to promoting inclusive and quality initial education, especially for the population of children who are in a condition of vulnerability in the region.
