- The project contributes to the generation of new knowledge on explanatory models of the phenomenon of urbanization, conformation of regions, analysis of the life cycle of cities, urban metabolism and energy efficiency.
- The project contributes with the construction of information from empirical data, measurements and modeling of results.
- The project also allows an analysis of land use planning through different scales of planning and sustainability.
- The analysis of topics such as: regional planning, territorial model and urban organization of the different activities in the regional territory to obtain assertive information that contributes to a harmonious development of the territories.
- The study of planning instruments within the framework of the region; local plans that favor and promote more socially integrated neighborhoods, economic structure relations, urban social improvement and neighborhood regeneration.
