Reconciliation processes after the 2016 agreement: "Memories and experiences of encounter".

Layman's description

Based on some readings of the Colombian conflict that place it as a consequence of structural failures, we consider cultural violence as one of its fundamental components, and simultaneously as one of its prolongation factors.
The research we propose to carry out here hopes to contribute to the identification of cultural blockages, and to the analytical follow-up of the processes of construction of collective memory. With this, we hope to offer a view that responds to some of the problems of the traditional way of elaborating memories and identities, in order to think of possible alternatives that lead to mutual recognition, to the inclusion of those who were considered as an "Other", and to the construction of new cultural views, less close to war and more inclined to the construction of a stable and lasting peace for Colombia.
In order to understand these ruptures and to advocate for the transformation of the structural conditions of violence, we have worked around reconciliation meetings between the different actors of the conflict. These spaces will be the setting for understanding and analysis of our work theme.
