Description

The deepening of the concept of public sphere, from the generalization of ICTs, favors a gradual activation of users in the information environment. In this sense, this proposal has set out to analyze how participation takes place in Colombian cybermedia and what participatory demands exist among Colombian citizens. The answer to these questions will help, on the one hand, to better understand the demands of Colombian information users, their needs and their perceptions of the degree of adaptation of the country's most important headers with respect to the levels of interaction offered. But it will also make a contribution to the journalistic field, by providing the company and professionals with digital tools to implement within their information platforms, since some previous works have warned of the low interactivity of Colombian cybermedia. Thirdly, the suitability of this work is based on the delivery of an academic contribution to an area in which some authors point out the existence of a scarcity of empirical data. And, fourthly, it is proposed to design an automated communication prototype that empirically applies the knowledge obtained in the previous phases. To meet these ambitious orientations, a multistage methodology will be employed based on the triangulation of quantitative and qualitative approaches, as well as software development. The correlation of the results obtained in the different phases will make it possible to deliver a patent application and nine research articles as the resulting products. As additional benefits, the training of professionals and strategic media managers will be favored. Finally, it will stimulate an active delivery of the results through the social media, in the search for a journalism more aware of the participation needs of its audiences.
