Description
Realism is such an important factor in simulation that it classifies the type of activity being performed.
However, there are no tools that clarify and study, in depth, the expressive multimodality of fidelity/realism.
Taking as a problem the non-existence of instruments for measuring realism, which affects the design, evaluation, planning and logistics of the programs and prevents measuring the true impact on learning, psychopedagogy and ethics, a mathematical tool called ProRealSim v.1.0 was developed. (qualitative indicators linked to quantitative scales) and was implemented digitally in a free bilingual application - English/Spanish - to calculate indices of global realism or by dimension and calculate the precision and naturalness of the simulator, the simulated participant and the scenery.
The application has a control panel for global and individual downloading of the measurements made.
This facilitates the mathematical and statistical management of large sample volumes.
