Description
Objective: To develop a proposal for an evaluation model of Primary Health Care for an Educational Program for Caregivers of the Elderly in three culturally diverse groups, Colombia 2015.
Methodology: The project is divided into two phases for the fulfillment of the objectives as follows:
Phase 1. Quantitative study of secondary data analysis of archives of the cultural health care research group.
Research carried out using secondary data is that in which the information used has not been collected in the context of the research itself (Welti, 1997) (19). It is a research method in which the primary researcher previously collects and analyzes the data from the studies and re-analyzes the data to then make a secondary proposal. In this case, the basic source for the study are the results of studies carried out by the Research Group in application of an Educational Program for Caregivers of the Elderly, which was constituted in the treatment of the quasi-experimental study of time series, in three culturally diverse groups. of Cáqueza- Cundinamarca, urban sectors of the 4th and 8th Locality of Bogotá and the Municipality of Guapi- Cauca that responded to the following criteria: caregivers of people over 60 years of age, length of stay in the place or Municipality greater than one year.
Phase 2. Qualitative study through the use of Participation Action Research (IAP): as a methodology that aims at the production of proactive and transformative knowledge, through a process of debate, reflection and collective construction of knowledge among the different actors of a territory in order to achieve social transformation and active participation of families.
