Layman's description

The political, economic, social and institutional deterioration that Venezuela has suffered in the last 20 years has not only had material implications on the living conditions of society, but has also undermined the democratic values of citizens, their relationship with the State. and social coexistence, which compromises the democratic future of the country, as well as the leadership that could work on its reconstruction.

Therefore, it is imperative to bring democratic principles and the associated capacities closer to the new generations called to rescue Venezuelan democracy.

The purpose of the Training program for youth leaders for the democratic reconstruction of Venezuela is to educate Venezuelan youth activists from political parties and social organizations who have migrated or are exiled in Colombia through knowledge, experiences and tools focused on democratic values.

With the support of Colombian and Venezuelan teachers, the project seeks to train these young people who, while they remain in Colombia, will be able to lead integration processes of the Venezuelan migrant population, by understanding the common challenges of both countries, and with a view to their return to Venezuela. , may occupy positions of political and social responsibility.

At the end of the academic component, the program foresees a phase dedicated to monitoring the young students in order to help them form a communication network to increase their social capital, as well as their capacities for political action and innovation, which we call Training and promotion stage of collective action.
