Description

The benefits provided by physical activity in cancer patients are quite consistent and equally multidimensional. Recent research has shown that physical activity can improve blood levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in breast cancer patients. These are closely related to outcomes such as depression, fatigue and quality of life.

The findings ostensibly favour the importance of an active life and a healthy diet as a mechanism for cancer control and prevention. Also to recognize the importance of prescribing, supervising and implementing physical activity interventions in cancer patients during and after cancer treatment.
