Description
Diabetes mellitus is one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, and is a major contributor to mortality from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease. Early diagnosis strategies, adequate control associated with physical activity and healthy lifestyles have been shown to prevent the presentation of these outcomes associated with diabetes. In the world and also in Colombia there is a gap of undiagnosed diabetic patients, and therefore untreated and uncontrolled.
