Project Details

Description

Introduction: Acute heart failure is a frequent cause of hospitalization with high in-hospital mortality. In Colombia, there are no local tools available for predicting mortality in the context of acute heart failure.
Objective: To develop a prediction model for in-hospital mortality in patients with acute heart failure admitted to Hospital Universitario Mayor Méderi.
Methods: Observational, descriptive study of a retrospective cohort aimed at developing a prediction model for in-hospital mortality. The model’s operational characteristics, diagnostic accuracy, area under the discrimination curve, and calibration will be described. Internal validation will be performed using resampling techniques.
Expected Results: It is expected to develop a prediction tool with a discrimination capacity of at least 70%, with adequate calibration and internal validation.
