Potential of air transport in the territorial development of the Colombian Amazon

Make visible the importance and potential of air transport in the integration and territorial development for the Colombian Amazon.

The main result of this project will be a feature-length documentary (70-90 minutes) about commercial aviation in the Colombian Amazon. The choice of this format is based on three reasons. First, the documentary format allows for the visibility of voices that are usually marginalized in the dominant historical and political narratives. This has been a recurring problem in the history of our country, which has contributed to normalize different violence and relations of marginality. Secondly, it has the potential to reach very diverse audiences, fostering dialogues between different and sometimes opposing worldviews, dialogues that are hardly possible through other formats. Finally, the link between the product and solid academic research on the subject allows the research problem to be addressed at a much deeper level than that which characterizes journalistic documentaries, which are numerous in the case of the project's subject matter.
