Organizational Behavior and Digital Transformation: Challenges and Prospects

Project: Research Project

Project Details

Description

The project aims to examine conceptual and methodological perspectives for studying organizational behavior in the context of digital transformation, which has radically reshaped work environments. It highlights the need for research to adapt existing theories, such as sociotechnical, ambidextrous, and motivational theories, or to design "digitally native" theories to accurately understand organizational behavior in this new digital reality. It identifies digital self-efficacy as one of the most relevant concepts for the adoption of new technologies, and identifies the technological experience model, which differentiates between observable behavior and subjective experience, as one of the most promising emerging conceptual frameworks. The project identifies important methodological gaps in current research, specifically highlighting the lack of studies in regions with less technological maturity, small businesses, and the need for new tools to measure and analyze contextual effects and the emotional impact on workers. These are articulated in the research question and the objectives set out to analyze conceptual and methodological trends, determine the impact, and identify organizational behavior management strategies in the context of new technologies.
