Description
General objective: Identify molecular variants in genes related to the etiology of gliomas in a sample of Colombian patients and determine their frequency and impact on clinical classification.
Specific objectives
1. Analyze all the genes proposed by the new 2021 WHO classification in the sample of gliomas from Colombian patients, in order to identify their mutational profile and classification.
2. Determine population-genetic parameters, such as allelic frequency, genotype, and Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium from the molecular results obtained from the gliomas of Colombian patients.
3.Compare and correlate the clinical classification given by the treating physicians of the patients and the classification obtained by following the 2021 WHO guidelines.
