Project Details

Description

This study aims to describe the mental health problems of the Colombian population during the weeks of protests and establish the possible factors involved in a worse outcome in these psychometric instruments.

Therefore, the purpose of this protocol is to carry out a cross-sectional study to identify the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms in the Colombian population over 18 years of age, during the protests carried out between April 28 and May 28, 2021.

This was done through an online survey, using the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scales for the identification of anxiety and depression symptoms, respectively.
It is expected to show a high prevalence of anxious and depressive symptoms in relation to the protest situation in the context of the national strike.
