Physiotherapeutic intervention in the management of patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a systematic review

Project: Research project

Description

Evidence shows that therapeutic exercise has a significant impact on functional capacity, hand functions, mobility and movements. The use of physical agents did not show a significant difference between the groups, but it did at the beginning and end of the intervention. The use of Taichi as an alternative technique evidences both physical and mental improvement and an Internet-based physical activity intervention with individualized supervision, exercise equipment and accompaniment is effective as an intervention strategy. Based on the results of this review we can establish that from physiotherapy there are various interventions for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, of which the most used and with the greatest positive effects is therapeutic exercise.
