Description
The research "Collective action from above and collective action from below in the framework of climate change negotiations" is part of the project "Heterodox Approaches to Collective Action" directed by Freddy Cante, and is part of the research line "Social Movements and Collective Action" of the Center for Political and International Studies, CEPI.
Taking as a delimitation the negotiations on climate change during 2011, especially the Durban Summit, the research set out to determine the scope of collective action from above, that is, that perpetrated by the States; and those of political action from below, corresponding to that of social movements. To this end, a series of specific objectives were formulated and three research phases were planned: a data collection phase, an analytical phase, and an explanatory phase.
