This project arises from the research results of the project "effect of the proposal of a Primary Health Care program for Afro-Colombian extended families, Guapi-Cauca" based on the need to develop health education tools that allow reaching vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities in order to empower them to make decisions about their own health and improve their quality of life.

Thus, this project proposes to generate health education strategies according to the needs identified and prioritized with their leaders, community councils and officials of the Secretary of Health, of the Afro-Colombian population of the rural and urban area of the Municipality of Guapi-Cauca, through a digital application and the construction of the prototype of the application that allows access to contents designed together with the community and pilot test in a rural area and an urban area neighborhood.

The typology of the expected product is social and a contribution to vulnerable Afro-Colombian communities. This proposal is related to the creation of a technologically viable strategy that allows the training and integral education of the population based on the main needs of the region.

This proposal has the support of the municipal health secretary; it contributes directly to the promotion and prevention for the population of the urban and rural areas of the municipality, empowering the population about their health situation and providing them with tools for decision making and individual and community actions, which would contribute to the reduction of prevalent pathologies in the municipality, especially preventable diseases.
