Project: Research Project

Project Details

Description

Learning Communities -CA- incorporate active and collaborative learning activities that promote involvement in academic and social activities (Zhao and Kuh, 2004) involving different stakeholders (Antón, 2020), therefore, they are recognized as a training strategy for community transformation (Antón, 2020).

And a community transformation is what is required to advance the achievement of the SDGs in the Latin American region and especially as a result of the pandemic derived from Covid19, as inequalities have been exacerbated (United Nations, 2020).

In this process of community transformation, universities (García, Eizaguirre and Rica, 2020), and Business Schools (PRME, s.f.), have a relevant role, therefore, we consider that the creation of a CRA is of great value. , which through training, research and extension processes, contribute to the advancement of SDG 10.

The initiative presented below seeks to develop the first stage of the consolidation path of a CRA. This proposal constitutes an innovation from the academic field, which trains citizens (students, teachers, non-governmental entities, public institutions and members of civil society) as social agents of change under a dynamic of dialogic learning.
