Functionality and resilience in COVID19 patients after invasive mechanical ventilation management

Project: Research Project

Project Details

Description

Patients with COVID-19-related critical illness who were hospitalised in the intensive care unit requiring invasive mechanical ventilation have long-term complications including post-ICU syndrome which is defined as the presence of any impairment affecting physical health, psychiatric or cognitive domains. It is of great importance to continue to investigate the post-ICU survival experience in order to implement, improve and create better evidence-based medical interventions and optimise rehabilitation programmes.
