Description
The aim of this study is to characterize gene expression profiles in human corneal endothelial cells to identify the molecular mechanisms underlying corneal homeostasis, endothelial function, and the response to pathological processes. Transcriptomic analyses will be performed using RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) and/or gene expression microarrays, followed by validation of differentially expressed genes through quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) and immunodetection assays. In addition, signaling pathways and biological processes associated with cell proliferation, differentiation, senescence, oxidative stress, and tissue regeneration will be investigated. The findings are expected to identify molecular biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets for corneal endothelial disorders, thereby contributing to the development of regenerative medicine approaches and advanced therapies in ophthalmology
