Detection of mammoglobin protein in Colombian breast cancer patients

The aim of this study is to evaluate the expression of mammaglobin (MGB1/SCGB2A2) in Colombian patients with breast cancer to determine its potential as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker. The study will involve the detection and quantification of mammaglobin using immunological and molecular techniques in tumor tissue and/or peripheral blood samples, followed by an assessment of its association with clinicopathological characteristics, molecular subtype, tumor stage, and clinical outcomes. The findings are expected to establish the clinical utility of mammaglobin as a biomarker for early detection, risk stratification, disease monitoring, and precision oncology approaches in breast cancer management.
