Development of a wearable prototype for commercial validation of ERGONOVUS

Project: Consultancy project

Project Details

Description

The Ergonovus Spinoff of the Universidad del Rosario contributes to economic development and creates business opportunities by translating research results into viable technologies that lead to market solutions, thus having important multiplier effects on economic activity. The SpinOff Ergonovus, has covered the first two phases of development: research of transferable solutions; Identification of the business opportunity framework.
It is currently in the Pre-Organization phase, where the actors are being defined and the creation of the network of potential customers has been initiated. In this phase, the study of health conditions of workers of the Universidad del Rosario will be developed in 2020, using the available technologies of the Spinoff.
As a result of the consulting and research processes of the Ergonomics Laboratory, ERGONOVUS developed a diagnostic service that predicts and prevents the probability of suffering from occupational MSD disorders, measuring different body variables through the product line of the Wavemotion suite.
Wavemotion is comprised of data capture tools, information processing and wearables designed to be worn on the neck, rotator cuff and lower back. The reading of a person's physical profiles takes 15 working days to consolidate and provide a report of findings and recommendations to strengthen the systems.
