Description

Innovation as a determining factor of enterprise competitiveness depends to a large extent on the culture which facilitates its development. This concept, defined as the set of shared values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that encourage the generation of new solutions, allows organizations to adapt to changes in the environment, To remain competitive and to develop their ability to generate innovative responses to market demands.Despite the importance of the Culture of Innovation, there are still theoretical and methodological gaps in understanding the factors that enable it, especially in business contexts such as the Colombian one, where diagnostic tools adapted to the characteristics of local firms have not been developed. Previous studies have identified critical factors that explain the innovation culture, such as leadership, internal and external collaboration, lifelong learning and organizational climate (Tian et al., 2018; Dobni, 2008; Rao & Weintraub, 2013). However, these studies often focus on European cases and isolated factors, without systematically integrating existing frameworks. In Latin America, and particularly in Colombia, research and tools to measure and improve the culture of innovation are limited, which creates an urgent need to broaden the knowledge base and develop specific approaches for the region. In response to this need, the project has as its general objective to establish a model that evaluates the factors that influence the innovation culture in the Colombian business context. To achieve this, the relevant factors will be identified through literature analysis, a conceptual model will be built
