Bodies, territories of peace: interactive-pedagogical primer from a somatic perspective for ethical-emotional training.

Project: Research Project

Project Details

Description

This project aims to develop a pedagogical primer for peace formation from a somatic perspective.

The Phronimos Ethics and Citizenship Training Center, the pedagogical innovation project Thinking with the Body and the District Institute for the Protection of Children and Youth IDIPRON participate.

These actors seek to address the need for a citizenship training process that provides tools for the transformation and processing of daily conflicts, particularly in the population that IDIPRON serves (boys, girls and young people in street habitation, risk of habitability and high permanence).

To this end, the development of the pedagogical booklet Bodies, Territories of Peace is proposed, which is proposed from somatic education and, in that sense, takes the body and movement as the basis of habits of transformation and generation of care practices. .

We are talking about a primer in which reading is an experience of movement and its pages are a space to be explored and inhabited. The booklet will collect the training experience of the Conflict for Peace Chair, an activity carried out by IDIPRON and the Social Projection Directorate of the UR since 2019.

Likewise, the booklet will collect the reflections made by the Phronimos Ethics and Citizenship Training incubator, who since 2018 have been advancing reflections on peace formation and, particularly, on the booklets that are used in this type of process.

Likewise, this exercise allows us to lay the foundations for a virtualization process of the pedagogical route of the Thinking with the Body project and contributes to the appropriation and dissemination of this technology.

Finally, it is a strategy that is important for IDIPRON since it provides a tool to continue and deepen the peace formation processes in its different territorial spaces (reception centers, soup kitchens, community programs, etc.)
