Project: Research Project

Project Details

Description

Based on a case study in a municipality in the Colombian Amazon, this research aims to contribute to the understanding of the urban phenomenon in Colombia, specifically in those regions where it has been linked to the armed conflict. The research addresses the relationship between conflict and urbanization, emphasizing three dimensions or specific aspects: the type of socio-spatial configuration arising from direct or indirect effects of the conflict; the role of the state, the community and other actors in the development of that configuration; and the challenges it poses for urban governance at the local and regional levels in the post-conflict context.
