Covid-19 has globally affected almost all countries in the world, becoming a pandemic with severe effects on health, the economy and the functioning of society. Health systems in general have especially suffered the impact of its effects and health personnel in particular have suffered excessive morbidity and mortality. Faced with this situation, intervention measures have been established through public policies developed and implemented within the countries.

Colombia, at various levels of governance, has formulated norms, guidelines, procedures, administrative actions and has carried out biosafety practices to protect the health of health care personnel of the Health Service Provider Institutions -IPSs- that make up the system. of health care at the national level.

Objective: Analyze the public biosafety policy for IPSs in Colombia and explore the association of the implementation of its guidelines with
effects on the health of health care personnel.

Methodology: Multimethod study comprising a policy analysis, a cross-sectional study with environmental and personal analysis categories, two scoping reviews, and the application of a pedagogical strategy.

A team is formed with the following research groups: National University: Micro and Macro Ergonomics in Products and Processes Group, Environmental and Occupational Toxicology Group, Health and Work Group; Universidad del Rosario: Research Group in Public Health, Health Cognition and Work, Rosarista Mental Health Center Group, Functional and Ecosystem Ecology Group and Researchers from the Nuestra Señora de la Paz Clinic.
