SELF-MEDICATION: prevalence, social representations and perception of health consequences in the Colombian population, in times of pandemic.

To describe the prevalence of self-medication behavior, its social representations and the perception of health consequences, in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic in the Colombian population, specifically patients of the Méderi Hospital Network, students and administrative staff of the Universidad del Rosario, during the year 2022.

Describe the prevalence of self-medication, the types, including the decision to vaccinate against covid-19 and the perception of the consequences of these on the health of the study population.

● With the expected results, we seek to disseminate, through an awareness campaign, the information to achieve an impact not only on the scientific and academic community, but also on the quality of life of the studied population and provide evidence for the creation of public policies and / or projects to intervene adequately for the prevention of non-responsible self-medication and promotion of the rational use of medicines.
