Project Details
Description
The vast majority of the material that María Isabel Murillo "Misi" composed in more than 30 years of musical career has no transcriptions, neither of her music nor of her librettos, and to date there are only audio recordings. With the support of Editorial UR and Misi Producciones, FaCrea seeks to reconstruct all this valuable material through the long-term publication of the Misi Collection of Anthologies that compile the work of the composer, to put it at the service of the community. academic. With this editorial project we would then begin with the process of transcription and reconstruction of the material, with a first book: Anthology 1: Grandes Coros de Misi. This, in addition to containing introductions, photographs and critical notes of each of the selected works (between 12 and 15 for mixed choir and accompanying piano), will have an annex that will tell the story of the creation of the Musical Theater program at the Faculty of Creation of the UR.
