Project: Research Project

Project Details

Description

The COVID-19 pandemic is the most important public health event of the last century[10] with implications in all areas of human activity and immeasurable long-term consequences. Retrospectively analyzing the impact of the pandemic in multiple domains requires a multi-disciplinary approach that combines both quantitative and qualitative areas in the evaluation of the evidence. The problem to be evaluated is approached from four perspectives: i) reconstruction of the transmission dynamics; ii) understanding the operational role of the epidemiological surveillance system at the territorial level; iii) the resilience of the health system and its capacities in the midst of the health crisis; and iv) risk communication.
