Description:

Through rectoral decree No. 1516 (August 31, 2017), recognition of a Translational Medicine research institute was granted, attached to the EMCS of the Universidad el Rosario.

Objectives

1. Establish sustainable medical research and a practical approach to translational medicine, with the aim of applying scientific and technological knowledge for the creation and application of novel and specific therapeutic strategies.

1. Ascribe Groups and Centers of Excellence in Research of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences under a single and cohesive unit of collaborative and synergistic research framework, maximizing the human and technological resources of current and potential laboratories.

1. Encourage collaborations with prestigious universities, institutes and research centers, national and international, seeking to enhance the achieved and current approaches to the University's research.

1. Design agile spaces for continuous interaction and dissemination of basic knowledge generated by the Centers and Groups associated with the patient-health worker scenario, seeking the development of basic and clinical research.
