We are a research hotbed composed of undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate students of health science programs with an interest in research that seeks to deepen knowledge of diseases affecting children and adolescents, and from this, contribute to the scientific community by creating multidisciplinary research projects that have an impact on issues of childcare, prevention and health promotion, and clinical care of patients.

Research Lines:

• General pediatrics.
• Acute and chronic diseases prevalent in childhood.
• Pediatric infectious diseases.

Objectives:

1. To encourage the creation of research projects on health, child care and the prevention of childhood diseases, girls and adolescents resulting in high-quality scientific publications that have an impact on pediatric clinical practice and the scientific community.
2. Promote the participation of undergraduate, postgraduate and health science graduates in clinical research and contribute to their training in evidence-based medicine and epidemiology.
3. Consolidar un semillero de jóvenes investigadores líderes en temas de pediatría que participen activamente en las actividades formativas de investigación y eventos académicos institucionales y extrainstitucionales.
4. Incentivar la participación de equipos multidisciplinarios en proyectos de investigación orientados a la atención de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
