Research incubator: The Feminist Needle: Gender on the Political Pendulum

Aguja Feminista is a research incubator that emerged as an interdisciplinary and collaborative student-led space. Through projects, activities, and research, its members seek to analyze gender perspectives and feminism, taking into account their impact on politics. The incubator aims to foster knowledge regarding gender, feminism, politics, and power, as well as to provide practical application of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods and techniques. The name draws upon two concepts associated with the needle: weaving -an art historically linked to women, yet understood in the social sciences as the construction of narratives and discourses within a population- and precisionthe exactitude with which academia can develop new ideas and initiatives to understand women as political agents.

Objectives:

This research incubator is established with the aim of contributing -through research, dissemination, social work, and critical thinking- to the growth of knowledge production with a gender focus, as well as fostering interest in and the study of gender, with a particular orientation toward national and international politics. In this way, it seeks to make an impact by educating and connecting individuals both within and outside the Rosario University.
