The Territorial Transitions Research Seedbed is an academic, collaborative, and experimental space that seeks to understand how territories shaped by conflict, inequality, and socio-environmental crises are transformed, resist, and reimagine themselves amid uncertainty.
Drawing on a transdisciplinary, situated, and reflexive perspective, the seedbed explores territorial transitions toward peace, socio-environmental justice, and sustainable energy systems. These transitions are understood not as linear pathways of change, but as dynamic processes shaped by contestation, knowledge, and practices that reconfigure collective life.
Through participatory and creative methodologies such as participatory mapping, storytelling, action research, and territorial memory, the seedbed promotes the co-production of knowledge among communities, students, and scholars, creating learning spaces that integrate critical reflection with transformative practice.
Framed within the international project Cartographies of Territorial Transition, the seedbed serves as a living laboratory for research and collective creation, dedicated to imagining and building more just, sustainable, and life-centered territorial futures.
