Research group focused on promoting knowledge about macro and micro fungi, their function, and their interactions with other organisms present in tropical ecosystems.
Goals
1. Develop research projects on taxonomy, ecology and biogeography of fungi.
2. Contribute to the understanding of the relationships of fungi with other organisms in the ecosystem such as insects, plants, etc.
3. Investigate the use of fungi as food, pharmaceuticals, pest control, bioremediation, among others.
