Description:

The Research Incubator on Ageing and Longevity at Universidad del Rosario (SIELo-UR) was created to address the need to advance the generation of new knowledge on the phenomenon of ageing through research, innovation, and ongoing dialogue across various disciplines within the health sciences. Participants in the incubator will develop a critical and proactive perspective on ageing research and will be equipped to design and carry out solid research projects with strong thematic, methodological, and ethical foundations. This incubator is open to any student from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (EMCS) who wishes to deepen their understanding of ageing and longevity. It promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and fosters dialogue between different health professions.

Objectives:

  1. 1. Promote the development of research projects and the generation of new knowledge focused on the study of ageing and longevity from an innovative and multidisciplinary perspective.
  2. 2. Actively engage students and faculty from the various programs of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (EMCS) around a shared research agenda on ageing.
  3. 3. Strengthen students’ research skills through guided project development, from the formulation of ideas to data collection and analysis, as well as the presentation and dissemination of results.
  4. 4. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration as a key approach to designing solid, relevant, and high-impact research.
  5. 5. Promote the dissemination of the activities, goals, and progress of the Rosarista Institute for the Study of Ageing and Longevity within the university community.
