Description:
The Quantum Computing Seedbed is an academic space dedicated to the study of quantum computing from its theoretical foundations to its practical applications. Students will explore the fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and quantum information theory, and apply this knowledge using Qiskit, IBM's quantum computing simulator. The program seeks to create a collaborative environment for learning and developing skills in one of the most innovative areas of computing.
Objectives:
- Theoretical Foundation: Provide students with a solid understanding of the physical and mathematical principles that underpin quantum theory and its application in quantum computing.
- Computational Skills: Train students in the use of IBM's Qiskit quantum computer simulator, developing practical skills in quantum programming.
- Learning and Teamwork: Encourage teamwork and interest in the emerging field of quantum computing, through projects and teamwork.
Lines of Research:
- Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics
- Algorithms Quantum
- Simulation of Quantum Systems
- Applications of Quantum Computing
- Quantum Computing Simulators
