Organization profile

Group made up of undergraduate and postgraduate students, professors and researchers, which promotes the existence of periodic meeting spaces where its members share an interest in mental health and to which they contribute through the development of research projects.

The Mental Health Research Seedbed was created on July 8, 2020. It is born as a space of solidarity and security aimed at undergraduate or specialized students interested in the field of mental health and seeks to encourage the generation of collaborative tools for learning based on experiences oriented to development in research expertise, through the encouragement of a research culture, involving interaction between teachers and students in an atmosphere of dialogue.

Enrolled in the Research Group Rosarist Center for Mental Health (CeRSaMe) created in January 2018. Registered in the National Call for the Recognition and Measurement of Research Groups, Technological Development or Innovation and for the Recognition of Researchers of SNCTeI, 2021. COL0198631.

It has a director and two coordinators (an undergraduate student and a graduate student).

Research Lines:

  • First Episodes: contemplates the significant deterioration in the tests of reality. Symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking and disorganized behavior may be the result of medical and neurological conditions, the use of certain substances or as a manifestation of a psychiatric disorder.
  • Established Mental Disorder: includes severe mental disorders of prolonged duration and leading to a variable degree of disability and social dysfunction.

Objectives:

  1. Seeks to encourage the generation of collaborative learning tools based on experiences oriented to the development of competences in research, through the encouragement of a research culture, involving interaction between teachers and students in an atmosphere of dialogue.
  2. To promote and encourage the participation of students, residents and professors belonging to the University of Rosario in the conduct of research activities that go beyond the formal academic process and that stimulate the acquisition of research skills.
