Research Incubator: Medical Education

The main objective of the EMCS Medical Education Research Center at Rosario University is to promote the development of research skills and the production of relevant knowledge in the field of medical education and health education, in order to improve the training of future doctors and to strengthen health promotion and disease prevention in patients and communities through education.

Among its specific objectives are: to promote the active participation of medical students, and specialization and master’s degree in education for health professionals (or those interested in medical education and health education). in research projects related to this field; fostering teamwork and collaboration with other research incubators and academic communities; and fostering methodological innovation in medicine and health education.

The nursery has a group of teachers and researchers experts in medical education, who provide guidance and support to students in the realization of their research projects. In addition, training and training activities in research, leadership and communication and social skills are carried out in the field of medical education, in order to strengthen the capacities of students for teaching and research work in the future.

The results of the seedbed research will be disseminated in academic events and specialized publications, contributing to the development of the field of medical education and health education, both in Colombia and internationally.

Objectives:

1. To promote the training of research skills and competencies in medical students and in the specialization and master’s degree in education for health professionals or those interested in medical education and health education.
2. To encourage the active participation of students in research projects related to medical education and health education.
3. Establish collaborative networks and work together with other research incubators in medical education, universities and related institutions.
4. To contribute to the development and application of innovative and effective methodologies for medicine and health education.
5. Generate relevant and applicable knowledge in the field of medical education and health education, which will improve the training of future doctors and health professionals.
6. Promote the dissemination of research results and the exchange of experiences with other seed companies, institutions and academic communities.
7. To provide spaces and opportunities for leadership training and the consolidation of social, communicative and teamwork skills, necessary for teaching and research work in the field of medical education and health education.
